Whether you celebrate this wicked day as Samhain, All Hallows Eve or Halloween, join us aboard Moonfleet for an evening of ghost stories to shiver your timbers and chill your bones with master story-teller Finnian McGuirk and myself Mermaid Taurva.
"With creaking sails and groaning timbers the ghost ship slips through the dark waters as the full moon rises and the banshees start to howl. The skeletal crew hoist the ragged sails that fill with wind despite the lack of breeze. On the bow the captain stands, two burning holes in place of eyes and a shining cutlass in his hands, hell bent on revenge..."
As we will be down below on Moonfleet and to keep the event COVID-safe, there is a maximum of 8 places per session, although we can expand this by an extra 2 places if there is enough interest and still remain socially distanced. There are two time slots available; 6pm and 8pm and places are available on a first come, first served basis, so book now to avoid missing out! Each story telling session lasts 40 minutes.
Young humans can join in too, for a special child-friendly story time at 4pm with my mermaid self. All children will need to be accompanied by an adult.
Light refreshments will be provided, please bring your own cup!
Tickets are free, although we would appreciate a donation to NCI Portland Bill. We recommend £5 as a suitable donation amount.
