Do you fancy a bit of a stroll? How about one with fabulous sea views, lots of history and a pirate graveyard?
Described as a ‘Moderate’ walk on the South West Coast Path website, this is a roughly ten mile route so please only join us if you are sure you are able to walk it.
Meeting at the Masonic Car Park on the edge of Portland, we will litter pick our way around the Isle in a clockwise direction along the coast path. There will be some steep hills and occasional rough, possibly muddy, ground but there will also be a cafe near the finish – very important and I can recommend their hot chocolate.
At a leisurely pace, this may take 5 or 6 hours so please ensure you bring food and drink as we will stop for lunch along the way. Make sure you are wearing suitable footwear and clothes and don’t forget to bring humour and a smile!
Clean Jurassic Coast will, of course, supply litter pickers bags and sanitiser – please bring your own gloves if you wish.
